About Curations

Founded by Corrine Mandell
When you’re born to a French mother and an Italian father, you’re bound to live a life filled with fabulous food, strong coffee, and plenty of wine. My parents owned both a French and an Italian restaurant at the same time, and yes, my mother was the dessert baker. Picture a shiny, silver dessert cooler. Cold, frosty, and sweet-smelling. Now imagine me coming home on college break with a few friends and heading straight for it. No shame. We didn’t sneak, we raided. That feeling of being home, surrounded by friends and family, indulging in all things decadently delicious, is something I’ll never forget.

"Joy Became My Compass"

That kind of joy became my compass. Eventually, I traded my pursuit of an acting career for something I was truly meant for: creating rich, memorable experiences that feed people’s souls.

I spent the next 14 years in Manhattan, working in high-end banquets and private dining. It was exhilarating. One of my favorite chapters was the three years I spent at the famed Russian Tea Room. Another highlight came when I won the bid to design the holiday display for Planet Hollywood Times Square. The result? A series of festive installations called “Holidays Out of This World.”

Later, I moved to Asheville and became the Director of First Impressions at a real estate firm. For seven years, I planned everything from award ceremonies to intimate team lunches. One of my favorite projects was launching Tasty Tuesdays, where we brought in food trucks and sponsors to add a culinary twist to the week.

Eventually, the call to create something of my own grew louder. That calling led me to Hendersonville and to Curations. A boutique event space that’s part gathering place, part creative playground.

Curations is where my favorite things come together: good food, good drink, and good company. It’s also home to Curation’s Kitchen, where you’ll find some of my handmade essentials like Hand Harmony and Sugar Scrub at the counter.

My longtime creative business, Corrine’s Creations, now serves as the parent company for Curations, Curation’s Kitchen, and Curated Experiences.

And when I’m not planning events or whipping up a new batch of lavender scrub, you’ll likely find me in my garden. That’s where I find my peace, my inspiration, and the next spark of magic. I’m lucky to share it all with “Husband Jeff,” who walks this life with me every step of the way, helping me bring it all together.

Let’s celebrate it ALL… together.
